I love the idea of the Generative Citizen, the global citizen. If we can bring more awareness, more richness to what this means. To bring a sense of generating possibilities to our participation as citizens.

Judith Lowe’s Five Generative Citizen Practices are a powerful expression and application of this premise. Each of us can make a creative and positive difference in the communities of which we are a part and, collectively, we can make a substantially more significant difference. Judith has been a passionate and innovative presence and leader in the NLP and Generative Change communities for many years and has demonstrated her commitment to using these methodologies for creating positive social change time and again. I give my full support to the mission and intention of the Generative Citizen initiative.

We live in challenging times, where the majority of our traditional institutions and structures are falling apart. At such times, we will either dissociate into fascism, mindless “negative othering”, and human isolation; or generate a new type of consciousness, one which equally supports individual transformation and creativity, and communities that value and include each of us.
Judith Lowe has been passionately committed to this integral consciousness for her whole adult life, in many ways. I thus strongly endorse and support her new initiative of “Generative Citizens,” and encourage your participation in it!

I gained a great deal from the Generative Citizen course, but probably the most important was examining my day to day interactions with others. In a world that often appears angry and divided I have come to a deeper understanding of what it means to “be the change.” I now aim to be slower to judge and faster at understanding and negotiating differences. I have a clearer picture of my place and role in the world and what this means in my connections to others.
